Rapper NBA YoungBoy, born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, has reportedly been released from federal prison ahead of his scheduled release date.

According to DJ Akademiks and online prison records, the Baton Rouge rapper may have been transferred to a halfway house or directly back home, though official confirmation is still pending.

NBA YoungBoy was originally sentenced to 23 months in federal custody on gun possession charges in December 2024, with a scheduled release date of April 26, 2025. His unexpected early release has surprised fans, as details surrounding his probation and legal status remain unclear.

The rapper has faced multiple legal battles, including his April 2024 arrest in Utah on charges related to identity fraud and prescription drug forgery. He later pleaded guilty to several charges, resulting in a plea deal that included prison time and a $25,000 fine.

Despite his incarceration, NBA YoungBoy continued releasing music, dropping his More Leaks mixtape, a collection of unreleased tracks and snippets. His commercial dominance remains strong, with the RIAA recognizing him as the only rapper of the past decade with eight Platinum albums.

As of now, NBA YoungBoy has not publicly addressed his release or future plans. However, fans speculate that his newfound freedom could lead to new music and projects in the near future. More updates on his legal status and next moves are expected soon.
