The district administration has enforced Section 144 in Peshawar, placing restrictions on certain activities for a period of one month, according to an official notification issued on Friday.
The order, issued by the Deputy Commissioner's office, stated that the implementation of Section 144 will take effect immediately across the provincial capital.
Under the directive, the sale of toy guns and firecrackers has been strictly prohibited within city limits. The administration said the ban aims to curb public safety concerns and maintain law and order.
Violators of the order will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code, the notification read. The enforcement will remain in place for one month unless withdrawn earlier by the authorities, it added.
