The Chosen Season 5 is set to bring some of the most well-known biblical stories to life, according to series creator, writer, and director Dallas Jenkins.

The upcoming season will depict key events from Holy Week, including Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the Last Supper, the cleansing of the temple, and Judas’ betrayal.

Jenkins stated that the season will showcase big, epic moments while also focusing on the intimacy, authenticity, and relationships between Jesus and his disciples. He emphasized that Season 5 will provide a deeper, human perspective on these biblical events, portraying how Jesus’ closest followers reacted in the days leading up to his crucifixion.

For new viewers, Jenkins strongly recommends starting from Season 1 to fully grasp the character development and storyline. He believes the stories will hold more meaning when viewed from the beginning.

Like previous seasons, The Chosen Season 5 will premiere in theaters before becoming available on streaming platforms. In the U.S. and Canada, Part 1 (Episodes 1-2) will release on March 28, 2025. Part 2 (Episodes 3-5) will release on April 4, 2025, and Part 3 (Episodes 6-8) on April 11, 2025.

Internationally, Part 1 will release on April 10, except in Nigeria and Ghana, where it debuts on April 4. For those who miss the initial screenings, a full theatrical release will take place on Palm Sunday, April 13, and Easter weekend, April 19-20. No official streaming release date has been announced yet.
