Reality TV star Courtney Stodden has opened up about the severe impact of cyberbullying, revealing that she once considered suicide due to online harassment from celebrities, including Chrissy Teigen. Stodden, now 30, shared her experience in the upcoming ABC News documentary IMPACT x Nightline: Confessions of a Child Bride, set to premiere on Hulu.

Stodden’s controversial marriage to 50-year-old actor Doug Hutchison at age 16 made her a frequent target of public criticism, much of which escalated into cyberbullying by celebrities and social media users alike. She reveals that during this time, she wrote a suicide note, feeling there was no way out.

She specifically mentions Teigen, who posted multiple derogatory comments about her, including one stating that her "fantasy" was for Stodden to take a "dirt nap," a slang term referring to death. Seeing such remarks from a high-profile celebrity contributed to Stodden’s mental health struggles.

Although Teigen later apologized publicly for her past tweets, Stodden has previously stated that she never received a private apology and questioned the sincerity of the statement. Stodden was also targeted by other celebrities, including American Pie actor Jason Biggs, who has since apologized for his remarks about her.

The documentary revisits the relentless criticism Stodden faced as a teenager and how public scrutiny can have long-term mental health consequences. As conversations about online accountability grow, the film highlights the dangers of cyberbullying and the need for greater awareness. IMPACT x Nightline: Confessions of a Child Bride premieres on Hulu tomorrow.
