Ben Stiller, the director and executive producer behind the hit Apple TV+ series Severance, has assured fans that they won’t have to endure another lengthy wait for the next season.
Appearing on the New Heights podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, Stiller addressed the concerns of fans who experienced the three-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2.
While Season 3 hasn’t been officially announced yet, Stiller, who has directed 11 out of 19 episodes so far, including the season 2 finale, promised that a plan for the upcoming episodes would be shared “very soon.”
He also assured listeners that, unlike the previous delay, “the plan is not to [wait three years].”
Stiller acknowledged the complexities of producing the show, with Season 2 requiring an extensive 186 days of filming and a lengthy editing process.
Despite these challenges, he praised Apple TV+ for helping Severance grow its audience and attract more viewers, even after the prolonged break between seasons.
