US, China and UK remain top export destinations

Exports to US rise by 10.49%, while shipments to China decline

ISLAMABAD:

The United States remained the top export destination for Pakistani products during the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2024-25, followed by China and the United Kingdom.

Total exports to the US during July-February 2024-25 were recorded at $4,009.91 million, compared to $3,629.21 million in the same period last year, marking a 10.49% increase, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Exports to China stood at $1,695.94 million, down 10.54% from $1,895.96 million last year. The UK ranked third, with exports rising to $1,444.33 million from $1,352.56 million.

Pakistan's exports to the United Arab Emirates increased to $1,414.73 million from $1,336.97 million, while shipments to Germany rose to $1,133.61 million from $984.62 million. Exports to Holland grew to $1,001.64 million from $908.33 million, and to Italy, they reached $747.02 million from $733.64 million.

Spain imported $973.58 million worth of Pakistani goods, up from $965.11 million, while exports to Afghanistan surged to $592.84 million from $321.75 million.

Exports to Bangladesh stood at $525.13 million, France at $372.54 million, and Belgium at $384.04 million. Shipments to Saudi Arabia rose to $489.44 million, while exports to Turkiye declined to $194.37 million.
