Gal Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on March 18, 2025, was overshadowed by a confrontation between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
Protesters gathered outside the tented-off event on Hollywood Boulevard, carrying signs and chanting slogans.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators held signs reading “Heroes Fight Like Palestinians” and “Viva Viva Palestina,” while pro-Israel protesters waved Israeli flags and denounced Hamas. The crowd shouted slogans such as “Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel’s crime.”
The protest grew tense when a pro-Palestinian demonstrator reportedly took an Israeli flag, prompting a police response. Despite the disruption, the ceremony proceeded 15 minutes late, with chants audible throughout the event.

Honored by Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, Gadot reflected on her journey from Israel to Hollywood. “This star will remind me that with hard work and passion, anything is possible,” she said. She thanked Diesel for giving her a career-defining role in Fast & Furious and praised Jenkins as her “Wonder Woman behind the camera.”
Gadot, an outspoken supporter of Israel, recently spoke at the Anti-Defamation League summit, condemning Hamas and criticizing media coverage of the Israel-Gaza conflict. She acknowledged that she previously avoided politics but felt compelled to speak out after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack.
The incident follows recent protests at Disney events, including backlash over Israeli superhero Sabra in Captain America: Brave New World.
