Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back in Freakier Friday, the highly anticipated sequel to Disney’s 2003 hit Freaky Friday.

The first official trailer has dropped, revealing a fresh twist on the beloved body-swap comedy.

Picking up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) experienced their identity-switching mishap, the sequel introduces a new generation to the chaos. Anna now has a daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter, setting the stage for another supernatural mix-up. When a fortune teller (Vanessa Bayer) warns them that history could repeat itself, the ground shakes—triggering another unexpected body swap, this time involving even more people.

Set to Chappell Roan’s HOT TO GO!, the trailer brings back fan-favorite Chad Michael Murray as Jake, who makes a dramatic entrance on his motorcycle. While Manny Jacinto, playing Anna’s husband, and Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan are absent from the teaser, keen-eyed fans spotted Elaine Hendrix, Lohan’s The Parent Trap co-star, making a cameo.

Directed by Nisha Ganatra, Freakier Friday features a star-studded cast, including Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Rosalind Chao, Mark Harmon, and executive producer Lindsay Lohan. The film is set for theatrical release on August 8, promising a nostalgic yet fresh take on the classic body-switching chaos.
