
Valeria Mireles, the beloved Mexican influencer known as "Miss Rodeo," has tragically passed away at the age of 20 after a car accident in Nuevo León, Mexico.
Mireles, who gained widespread popularity for sharing her cowgirl lifestyle on social media, was a well-known figure in the rodeo community. Her death was confirmed by the Mexican Rodeo Federation on March 10, 2025.
Mireles, who rose to fame with nearly 100,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, was crowned Miss Rodeo Nuevo León in 2020 and Miss Rodeo Mexico in 2021. Her passion for rodeo began at the age of 8, and she was also a finalist at a national pole racing event in 2021, representing Mexico in an international competition in Wyoming the following year.
Known for her vibrant personality and love for the rodeo, Mireles shared videos of her horseback riding, barrel racing, and caring for her horses. Her final social media post featured her dancing with a friend just days before her passing.
Her friends and family have paid heartfelt tributes to the young influencer. "You leave us a huge void," wrote her friend Cindy Ximena Garza on Instagram. "I will carry you in my memory and in my heart with that smiling and sweet face."
The Mexican Rodeo Federation described Mireles as an "ambassador for cowboy culture" and an inspiration to many young people. "Her smile lit up every arena," they wrote on social media, adding that her legacy will continue to inspire future generations in the rodeo world.
