QUETTA:

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti reiterated on Wednesday that the government was open to dialogue but only within constitutional boundaries, emphasizing that those responsible for killing innocent people would not be spared.

During his address to the provincial assembly, the chief minister strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffer Express.

Bugti highlighted the sacrifices of law enforcement personnel and civilians in the fight against terrorism. Referring to militant groups, the chief minister questioned whether he should seek forgiveness for those who have killed and kidnapped innocent people.

He stated that even if he pardoned the murder of 380 of his tribesmen for Pakistan's sake, there was no guarantee that militants would abandon violence, as they serve foreign interests.

Criticizing attacks on barbers and ordinary citizens, Bugti said it was tragic that history would record how barbershop owners and impoverished individuals from Punjab were targeted in Balochistan. He emphasized that no one should be attacked based on ethnicity.
