Michelle Obama and her brother Craig Robinson have announced the launch of their new podcast, "IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson."
The podcast, which premieres on today, aims to provide a space for honest conversations about life’s complexities. With the world facing challenging times, Michelle Obama hopes the podcast will offer moments of light and understanding. The siblings will discuss everyday issues like family dynamics, relationships, and personal growth, all while featuring special guests from various fields.
The podcast will also welcome prominent guests such as actors Issa Rae and Keke Palmer, soccer star Abby Wambach, authors Jay Shetty and Glennon Doyle, and media mogul Tyler Perry, among others. These guests will join Michelle and Craig to provide insights, share stories, and offer advice. New episodes will be released weekly on all audio platforms and YouTube.
In a statement, Michelle Obama emphasized the importance of openness and vulnerability. "We all need to talk more about life's struggles," she said, adding that such conversations help people feel less isolated and more equipped to navigate their challenges. Michelle’s previous podcast, "The Michelle Obama Podcast," and her 2023 series "The Light We Carry" also explored similar themes of personal growth and resilience.
"IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson" is a production of Higher Ground, the media company co-founded by the Obamas. With a focus on real stories and shared experiences, the new podcast promises to be a relatable and uplifting addition to the growing trend of podcasts that seek to address the complexities of modern life.
Episodes 1 and 2 will drop today, with the first episode serving as an introduction, followed by a conversation with Issa Rae. Listeners can submit their questions at imopod.com for potential discussion in future episodes.
