Cotton waste warehouse gutted in fire

A fire broke out in a cotton waste warehouse at Sheranwala Chowk.

Rescue teams reached the spot and doused the fire. A short circuit caused the fire in the warehouse located near Sheranwala Chowk in Ghulam Muhammadabad.

The flames engulfed the clothes, cotton sacks and other goods in the warehouse and burned them to ashes. Rescue teams doused the fire after several hours of struggle.

Meanwhile, a resident of Chak 272/GB, Irfan Javed, aged 40, was severely burned due to a gas cylinder explosion at his home.

The victim was cooking Iftar when the cylinder exploded due to a gas leak. Irfan was provided first aid and then shifted to the Allied Hospital, where doctors stated that his condition was critical due to severe burns.
