Justin Bieber’s longtime personal assistant, Mateo Caldas, has reportedly stepped down after nearly seven years working with the singer and his wife, Hailey Bieber, The US Sun reports.
Caldas, who began working with the couple in 2018, left to pursue an acting career. It remains unclear whether they plan to hire a replacement.
Caldas’ departure comes amid reports that Bieber, 31, is making major changes in both his personal and professional life. Earlier this month, Bieber’s representative told TMZ that the singer had cut ties with multiple friends and business associates, calling 2025 a “transformative year.”
The rep emphasized that Bieber remains committed to supporting Hailey and their 6-month-old son, Jack Blues, while also dismissing rumors of drug use as “exhausting and pitiful.”
However, Bieber’s recent social media activity has only intensified speculation about his well-being. Over the past week, he has posted videos of himself rapping about being high, smoking a joint, and using a glass bong.
This behavior follows an earlier incident at Hailey’s Rhode skincare event in Los Angeles, where Bieber appeared to sway uncontrollably while speaking with a friend, raising concern among fans.
A source told Page Six that Hailey, 28, is “really concerned” about her husband’s behavior and is unsure how to manage the situation. “Justin is going through a hard time, and Hailey is doing her best to be there for him, but there’s only so much she can do,” the insider added.
While concerns about Bieber’s well-being persist, his team continues to dismiss speculation, insisting he is focused on his family and career.
