The Ducks (27-27-7) took an early lead on Sam Colangelo’s first-period goal and got a late tally from Brian Dumoulin but lost in regulation for just the third time in their last 10 games.

Anaheim also lost starting goalie John Gibson, who exited in the second period after colliding with Canucks forward Drew O’Connor. Gibson had stopped 19 of 21 shots before being replaced by Lukas Dostal, who finished with 14 saves.

Colangelo put Anaheim ahead 1-0 at 13:21 of the first, redirecting a Cutter Gauthier point shot past Lankinen. Gibson kept the Ducks in the game early, making several key stops, including a pad save on Brock Boeser’s backdoor attempt just over a minute in.

DeBrusk tied it at 1-1 with a breakaway goal on the power play at 1:05 of the second period, lifting a shot over Gibson’s blocker. Blueger gave Vancouver the lead at 10:33, using Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe as a screen before scoring his first goal in 29 games.

Soucy extended the lead to 3-1 at 18:51, one-timing a cross-ice pass before Dostal could slide across.

Anaheim challenged the goal for goalie interference, but a video review determined that a Ducks defenseman had pushed Keifer Sherwood into the crease.

Dumoulin cut the deficit to 3-2 at 13:27 of the third, knocking in a rebound, but the Canucks held on to secure the victory.
