James Harden delivered a vintage performance, scoring 50 points to propel the Los Angeles Clippers to a 123-115 comeback victory over the Detroit Pistons at Intuit Dome.
The Clippers seized control late in the fourth quarter with a decisive 10-0 run after trailing 99-97, securing their 33rd win of the season.
Harden was unstoppable, shooting 16-of-27 from the field, including 16-of-20 from the free-throw line. His 50-point outing marked the most by any player at Intuit Dome and his highest-scoring performance as a Clipper.
He also became just the fourth player in franchise history to record four 40-point games in a single season, joining Bob McAdoo, World B. Free, and Lou Williams.
Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 37 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds, while Dennis Schröder added 21 points off the bench. Detroit struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 5-of-24 from three through three quarters before finishing 11-of-35.
Ivica Zubac provided a strong interior presence for the Clippers with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Bojan Bogdanović contributed 23 points.
The Pistons kept the game competitive behind Cunningham’s stellar play, but Harden’s dominance and the Clippers' efficiency from deep (54.2% from three) proved too much to overcome.
The Clippers now shift their focus to their next matchup as they look to build on Harden’s historic night. Meanwhile, the Pistons will aim to bounce back after another hard-fought contest.
