A tense moment unfolded in the House chamber as President Donald Trump made his way down the aisle to deliver his speech to a joint session of Congress.
As Trump walked in, Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.) held up a sign reading “This Is Not Normal”, aiming it toward television cameras.
However, Rep. Lance Gooden (R-Texas) swiftly intervened, snatching the sign from Stansbury’s hands and tossing it into the air.
The brief clash occurred just feet away from the president, though it remains unclear whether Trump noticed the exchange.
The incident added to an already charged atmosphere as lawmakers on both sides of the aisle reacted sharply to Trump's return to the congressional stage.
