Fort Worth rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter were shot and killed at a car wash in Forest Hill on Monday, his aunt told WFAA. Authorities have yet to identify a suspect or determine the motive behind the attack.

G$ Lil Ronnie was recognized for his sharp storytelling in music, gaining popularity through tracks like Hoodfame Killumanti, Wops, and Crash Pt. 4. His most recent album, Literally, was released in 2023, followed by his last single, Chase, in 2024.

Outside of music, Smith was known for his devotion to his daughter, often sharing heartfelt moments on social media. On Valentine’s Day, he posted a touching message about including a friend of his daughter in their celebrations to lift her spirits. His daughter had recently turned five years old.

Following the tragic news, fans and fellow artists took to social media to express their condolences. One X user wrote, "Sad day in Dallas-Fort Worth. G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter were fatally shot at a car wash in Forest Hill. Rest up, Ronnie." Another shared, "They really murdered Lil Ronnie while he was with his baby girl… y’all have no morals. This is sad."

Authorities are actively investigating the shooting, but no suspects have been identified, and the motive remains unclear. The Fort Worth community, along with the rapper's fans, continues to mourn the devastating loss.
