Peshawar Police have finalised a security plan to maintain law and order during the holy month of Ramazan across the district.
Under this plan, more than 3,500 police officers and personnel will be deployed across the city, ensuring security at mosques during Taraweeh prayers and Iftar, as well as at commercial centers, food markets, densely populated areas, and other key and sensitive locations.
Police patrols will be increased throughout the city, with special additional police mobile teams formed for district-wide surveillance. The plan also includes the deployment of armored personnel carriers (APCs), Ababeel Squad, City Patrolling Force (CPF) and additional special rider squads, which will remain on constant patrol at sensitive locations.
In addition, special checkpoints and snap checking have been further tightened by identifying hotspots in all divisions. During Sehari and Iftar time, police commandos will be on duty, while special security arrangements have been put in place for Taraweeh prayers.
Furthermore, plainclothes police cops along with female police personnel, will be deployed in markets and crowded areas.
