PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has reaffirmed his commitment to securing the province's constitutional and financial rights, particularly for the newly merged tribal districts.

Speaking to a delegation from the merged districts at the Chief Minister's House on Saturday, he criticized the federal government for failing to fulfill promises made at the time of the tribal districts' merger.

"The purpose of merging these districts was to bring them at par developed regions and end their backwardness," said Gandapur.

He pointed out that the commitments, which were made to the tribal people, had not been honoured yet.

The K-P CM highlighted ongoing efforts for obtaining outstanding payments from federal government.
