Rakhi Sawant has once again stirred up social media, this time by taking a direct shot at popular content creator Vikas Phatak, better known as Hindustani Bhau, over his controversial stance.
This controversy emerged after a complaint was filed against renowned choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan for allegedly making an offensive remark about the Holi festival during a recent episode of the reality show MasterChef.
Farah reportedly said, "Holi is the favorite festival of cheap people," a statement that sparked backlash. Hindustani Bhau condemned her remarks, calling them an insult to the Hindu community, and proceeded to file an official complaint at the police station.
Rakhi Sawant hits back at Hindustani Bhau
Reacting to the situation, Rakhi Sawant took to Instagram to criticize Hindustani Bhau, accusing him of hypocrisy.
"Hindustani Bhau, who frequently uses foul language in his videos, thinks that Mumbai Police and Cyber Cell work under him? Does he believe he alone has the right to abuse others?" Rakhi questioned.
She further added, "Before lodging an FIR against Farah Khan, authorities should review Hindustani Bhau’s content, where he himself uses derogatory language for publicity."
Directly addressing him, she stated, "Think twice before insulting Farah Khan because you are not innocent yourself."
Rakhi also criticized the Cyber Crime Cell, questioning their inaction. "I don’t understand why the Cyber Crime Cell remains silent when such individuals openly use abusive language. Action should first be taken against those who spread negativity in society before targeting Bollywood celebrities."
Her video quickly went viral, with many users in the comments agreeing with her stance. Several netizens criticized Hindustani Bhau’s behavior and voiced their support for Rakhi.
Case against Farah Khan
The complaint against Farah Khan claims that her remarks hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. Legal action has been sought under Sections 196, 299, 302, and 353 of the Indian Penal Code.
Meanwhile, Hindustani Bhau’s lawyer stated, "Using derogatory terms like ‘cheap’ to describe a sacred festival is highly inappropriate and could incite communal tensions."
