Combating Crime: SNGPL conducts raids on commercial units against gas thefts

Shan Con Thread Dying Unit and Shah Din Marriage Hall were running on the illegal by-pass gas connections.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Faisalabad carried out raids on various commercial and industrial units on complaints of gas theft and registered FIRs against the responsible ones.


The SNGPL raided on Shah Con Thread Dying Unit, Shah Din Marriage Hall and Pakwan Center Faisalabad and found these entities using illegal gas connections.

Shan Con Thread Dying Unit and Shah Din Marriage Hall were running on the illegal by-pass gas connections for the last one year.

Moreover, the Shah Con Thread Dying used bypass connection from the main pipeline of the SNGPL. On that bypass connection they were running 50 KVA generator, boilers with eight injector’s burners and boilers with four injector’s burners, they added.

The monthly gas bill of Marriage Hall and Pakwan Center was around Rs700  and Shah Con Dying Unit’s monthly bill was around Rs7,000 to Rs10,000 per month.
