Accountability legislation: AJK govt forms body for law review

MIRPUR (AJK): The Azad Kashmir government on Thursday constituted a committee to review the existing legislation primarily aimed at introducing reforms to ensure across the board accountability.

“Azad Kashmir Finance Minister Chaudhry Latif Akbar will head the committee and will submit a report with recommendations,” Information Minister Syed Bazal Ali Naqvi revealed in a post-cabinet meeting held in Muzaffarabad on Thursday.

Naqvi told The Express Tribune that the cabinet decided to implement the decision of the apex court in its true spirit regarding the qualification of the members and candidates.
