Ashanti hints at baby plans with Nelly amid second pregnancy speculation

Ashanti has revealed that she and Nelly plan to expand their family, intensifying speculation that the singer is already expecting their second child.

The couple, who rekindled their romance nearly two decades after their split, secretly tied the knot in December 2023. They later welcomed their son, Kareem Kenkaide “KK” Haynes, in July 2024. Pregnancy rumors have been swirling since November, just a few months after their baby’s birth.

In a recent E! News interview, Ashanti opened up about motherhood and her excitement for the future. “I am feeling amazing, incredibly pleased, humbled,” she shared. “My life has completely changed for the better. I feel full, you know? My cup is full.”

She also shared an update on their baby boy, saying, “He’s clapping now, noticing everything. He loves FaceTime—grabs the phone, puts his whole face into it, and just starts laughing and smiling.”

When asked about growing their family, Ashanti confirmed, “Absolutely! We’re going to add some more. Definitely a girl to balance it out. I’m outnumbered in the house right now, so a girl would be great.”

While the singer balances her acting career, including her role in the upcoming film No Address, fans are eager to see if baby number two is already on the way.
