
The Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert for several regions of the country, predicting thunderstorms, rainfall, and snowfall in various areas over the coming days.
According to the forecast, Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Murree, and Galyat are likely to experience intermittent rain and snowfall, along with strong winds and thunderstorms. Snowfall is expected at mountain peaks, with the possibility of heavy downpours in some areas.
Southern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Northeastern Balochistan, Central Punjab, and parts of North-eastern Punjab may also see rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. Some areas could even experience hailstorms. Elsewhere in the country, partly cloudy weather is anticipated.
In Islamabad and surrounding areas, intermittent heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are forecasted. The region may also witness significant snowfall in mountainous areas.
K-P is expected to see rain and snowfall in areas such as Dir, Chitral, Kohistan, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Buner, Abbottabad, Swabi, Mardan, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Nowshera, Peshawar, Charsadda, and nearby regions. Thunderstorms are also likely, with some locations receiving heavy rain and intense snowfall.
Other areas, including Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Waziristan, Laki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan, are expected to experience strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain, with the possibility of hail.
Thunderstorms and rain are expected in cities such as Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Gujrat, Chakwal, Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Lahore, Okara, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Noorpur Thal, and surrounding areas. Hailstorms may occur in some places.
Murree, Galyat, and nearby areas are expected to see intermittent rain and snowfall, with the potential for strong winds and intense weather. Other districts in the province may experience light rain or drizzle.
Sindh is likely to experience dry weather with partly cloudy skies, though the upper districts may see light rain or drizzle in isolated areas.
In Balochistan, cold weather will persist, with most areas remaining partly cloudy. Thunderstorms, rainfall, and snowfall on mountain peaks are expected in districts such as Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Kalat, Zhob, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Musa Khel, and surrounding areas.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will see intermittent rainfall, thunderstorms, and snowfall, with some regions experiencing heavy rain and intense snowfall.
