
Sindh Police has decided to introduce 'Patrolling Police' on all major highways and roads between cities. Patrolling police will be deployed to secure the highways while maintaining the continuity of other measures including the installation of modern cameras to curb crimes.
In this regard an important meeting was held at the Central Police Office with IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon in the chair. DIGs, Administration officers, Crime and Investigations high ups, Traffic Hyderabad officials, besides officials from the CIA, Headquarters, Establishment, IT, Finance and other police officers attended the meeting.
The meeting decided to introduce 'Highway police' and enhance 'Highway Patrolling' across the province.
DIG Establishment highlighted the objectives of the proposed project, the current status of checkpoints, the available workforce, and the challenges posed by limited resources.
