The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has extended the protective bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA, Yousaf Khan, until March 5.
This decision was made by a two-member bench comprising Justice Fazal Subhan and Justice Qazi Jawad Ahsanullah, who heard Yousaf Khan's plea presented by his lawyer, Alam Khan Adenzai.
The lawyer informed the court that Yousaf Khan, an MNA from Hangu, had submitted an application seeking information about the cases against him.
During the previous hearing, the PHC sought a report from the federal government regarding these cases but did not extend the protective bail for Yousaf Khan at the time.
Consequently, the court was requested to grant an extension of the protective bail to enable him to appear before the relevant court of law.
The court approved Yousaf Khan's protective bail extension and once again instructed the federal government to submit details of all cases against the petitioner.
PHC also ordered the authorities to refrain from arresting him until March 5.
In a related case, the same bench approved the protective bail application of Sardar Muhammad Ali Khan, a PTI leader and MPA from PP-2 Fatah Jang, Punjab.
His lawyer informed the court that the government had registered many cases against the petitioner but had not provided details keeping him in complete darkness and putting him at risk of arrest.
The court granted Sardar Muhammad Ali Khan 20-day protective bail and directed the submission of all details regarding the cases against him as soon as possible.
