Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan's (MQM-P) chairman and federal mininster Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said the provinces created by the British rulers on ethnic basis need to be 'reshaped' in view of the population explosion.
Addressing an event of Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, MQM-P's welfare arm, in Hyderabad on Saturday he reminisced how his party was provided with required development funds for Karachi during late Gen Pervez Musharraf's regime.
"Before 2008 Karachi's condition wasn't as such which we happen to see today," he regretted. Tacitly criticising the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he said the party has been enjoying power for 17 consecutive years but the condition of Sindh cities and rural areas is known to all.
