Twin cities get Champions Trophy security plan
A joint security plan has been finalised by Islamabad and Rawalpindi police to ensure foolproof security for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 cricket tournament.
Under this plan, 5,800 police officers and personnel will be deployed.
A high-level meeting, chaired by Islamabad IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi at the Central Police Office, was attended by senior officers from both cities and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
A comprehensive briefing was given on the security arrangements, covering all possible aspects.
The IGP emphasised that full security will be provided for the teams during their movements.
