Instagramer Kashaf Ali has responded to speculation about her connection with cricketer Saim Ayub, calling the rumours "baseless" and "unnecessary gossip."
A video of Ayub and Ali enjoying time together in London recently surfaced on social media, leading to widespread speculation about their relationship.
The clip showed them at a bowling alley, chatting and taking selfies, which sparked curiosity among fans.
Taking to Instagram, Kashaf Ali addressed the controversy, criticising both the media and the public for focusing on trivial matters.
"There are countless important issues in our country, but people choose to discuss irrelevant things instead," she said.
She dismissed the claims, stating that the video was being blown out of proportion.
"You don’t know the person in the video, just like you don’t know me. It’s ridiculous how people make up stories based on assumptions," she remarked.
Saim Ayub, 22, is currently in London recovering from an ankle injury that ruled him out of the ICC Champions Trophy.
His presence in the UK, combined with Kashaf Ali’s social media posts, further fuelled speculation that they were spending time together.
While neither party has officially confirmed any relationship, the video has become a trending topic online, drawing mixed reactions from fans.
This is not the first time Saim Ayub has made headlines for off-field matters. Earlier, he was criticised for ignoring a journalist at a charity event in London, an incident that also stirred debate online.
Despite the ongoing rumours, Kashaf Ali maintains that the viral clip was simply a casual moment taken out of context. "There’s nothing to talk about here. People should focus on real issues instead of creating drama out of nothing," she added.
