Taylor Swift is reportedly distancing herself from longtime friend Blake Lively after being caught in the ongoing legal battle between Lively and her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

According to sources, the pop icon is taking a break from their friendship, feeling "hurt" and like a "pawn" in the legal dispute. An insider revealed that Swift, 35, is "keeping her distance" from Lively, 37, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48. "Taylor wants nothing to do with this ordeal," the source stated, emphasizing that she has always been a loyal friend but does not appreciate being pulled into the controversy.

The tensions stem from Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively, which included alleged texts where the actress mentioned "two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities" pressuring Baldoni to agree to script changes. Many speculate these individuals to be Reynolds and Swift. The lawsuit has reportedly put a strain on Swift and Lively’s nearly decade-long friendship, which began in 2015.

Adding to the controversy, Lively and Reynolds made a public appearance at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special, despite industry insiders suggesting they should have skipped the event. A source close to the couple countered, saying, "Blake and Ryan have no regrets about attending. They have nothing to hide and no reason not to show up."

Neither Swift, Lively, nor Reynolds have publicly commented on the situation. However, insiders claim Swift feels "used" and "deeply uncomfortable" with being referenced in the legal drama, further fueling speculation about the state of her relationship with Lively.
