Octavia Spencer took a swipe at Elon Musk’s newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

She offered to bake the infamous chocolate pie from her Oscar-winning film The Help.

Spencer shared a photo of her character Minny Jackson on Instagram, advertising a "one-time bake sale" in Washington, D.C., for "all DOGE employees and supporters." Her caption jokingly called for donations of "good vanilla from MEXICO and some CANADIAN maple syrup" along with "corn and chocolate" for the "special ingredient" — a clear nod to The Help’s notorious revenge scene.

In The Help, set in 1960s Mississippi, Minny gets back at her racist employer (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) by secretly adding human feces to a chocolate pie. The scene became a pop culture moment, and Spencer’s latest post playfully weaponizes it against Musk’s controversial role in DOGE.

DOGE, announced by President Donald Trump last month, has slashed billions in federal funding, particularly targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Lawsuits challenging its legality have piled up, with critics calling Musk’s involvement unconstitutional. The White House, however, claims Musk has no formal authority, stating, "In his role as a Senior Advisor to the President, Mr. Musk has no greater authority than other senior White House advisors."

Spencer’s post sparked a viral reaction, with many viewing it as a biting commentary on Musk’s government influence.
