Pakistan issues visas for Indian journalists to cover Champions Trophy 2025

The ICC Champions Trophy is set to begin in Pakistan on February 19.

Pakistan has granted visas to all Indian journalists who applied to cover the ICC Champions Trophy. According to sources, seven journalists from India had requested visas for the tournament, which will be hosted by Pakistan.

The sources confirmed that all these journalists have been issued visas, with none of the visa applications being rejected.

The ICC Champions Trophy is set to begin in Pakistan on February 19, featuring eight teams, including Pakistan, India, Australia, and England.

The first match of the tournament will be played tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19, between Pakistan and New Zealand, while the highly anticipated match between Pakistan and India will take place on February 23 in Dubai.

On the other hand, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) provided special charter flights for teams participating in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

In collaboration with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), PIA operated nine flights between Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore for the teams’ domestic travel, with in-flight arrangements showcasing Pakistani culture.
