The England cricket team reached Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, set to begin on February 19. The 31-member squad, led by captain Jos Buttler, landed in Lahore after flying in via Dubai.

The contingent includes players, coaching staff, and support personnel, with head coach Brendon McCullum and managing director Robert Key also accompanying the team.

The squad’s arrival marks the beginning of their preparations for the highly anticipated tournament, which will be hosted in multiple cities across Pakistan.

The Champions Trophy, which will run from February 19 to March 9, features eight teams and will be played across four venues: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai. England has been placed in Group B, alongside South Africa, Afghanistan, and Australia.

Their opening match will be a high-profile clash against arch-rivals Australia on February 22 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Following this, England will face Afghanistan on February 26 in Lahore before rounding off their group-stage campaign with a match against South Africa on March 1 at Karachi’s National Stadium.

England enters the tournament with a point to prove after a disappointing tour of India, where they suffered defeats in both the T20I and ODI series. Despite these setbacks, the England squad is brimming with talent, and they will be looking to bounce back and challenge for the Champions Trophy title. The team’s core players, including Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, and Joe Root, will be crucial to England’s chances of success.

The team’s schedule in the Champions Trophy will see them play all their group-stage matches in Pakistan, with two matches in Lahore and one in Karachi. As the tournament unfolds, England will hope to build momentum and make a strong push towards the knockout stages.

England’s squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 includes a strong group of talented players. The team is led by captain Jos Buttler, with Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, and Tom Banton also part of the lineup.

Other key players in the squad are Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, and Ben Duckett. England’s bowling attack will be bolstered by Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, and Mark Wood, while Joe Root, Liam Livingstone, and Saqib Mahmood add strength to both the batting and bowling departments.

Completing the squad is Phil Salt, known for his explosive batting style. With a balanced mix of experience and youth, England will be aiming for a strong campaign in the tournament.
