A day after announcing the expulsion of lawmakers who were absent during the voting on the controversial 26th Constitutional Amendment Bill, Imran Khan's PTI has formed a committee that will hold its first meeting today (Monday).
According to sources, the committeecomprising former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser, Aun Abbas Bappi and Sardar Azhar Tariqwill devise its strategy in its first meeting.
They said the party has already issued show-cause notices to the MPs who skipped the crucial parliamentary session on October 21, 2024. According to PTI insiders, Imran directed the senior leadership to issue formal notifications for expulsion of such members.
