Henrik and Daniel Sedin, franchise icons who played 17 seasons in Vancouver, lead Sweden’s first team alongside Nicklas Backstrom, Erik Karlsson, Nicklas Lidstrom, and Henrik Lundqvist.

The Sedins, who retired in 2018 and entered the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022, remain among Sweden’s most decorated players.

Mats Sundin and Jacob Markstrom earned second-team honours.

Sundin, a Hall of Famer, captained Toronto for over a decade before finishing his career in Vancouver, recording 603 points from 2000 onward.

Markstrom, an NHL veteran, withdrew from the 4 Nations Face-Off due to injury but has been a key figure for Sweden’s national team.

The Sedins and Sundin were part of Sweden’s 2006 Olympic gold-medal squad, while Markstrom has won World Championship gold and bronze.

Sweden now prepares to face Finland in the 4 Nations Face-Off on Saturday at 10 AM PT.
