The 2024-25 Copa del Rey semi-final draw has set up two blockbuster clashes, with Barcelona facing Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid taking on Real Sociedad in two-legged ties.
Barcelona, the record 31-time winners of the competition, secured their spot in the semi-finals with a dominant 5-0 victory over Valencia.
They now face Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, who cruised past Getafe with a 5-0 win of their own.
The two sides will meet over two legs as they battle for a place in the final.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid overcame a tough challenge from Leganés in the quarter-finals, securing a last-minute 3-2 victory.
Los Blancos now face Real Sociedad, who knocked out Osasuna with a 2-0 win in their quarter-final match.
The first-leg matches will take place between February 25 and 27, while the return legs are scheduled for April 1 to 3.
The final will be held on April 26 at Estadio La Cartuja in Sevilla.
With Barcelona aiming for their first Copa del Rey title since 2021, Atletico hoping to break their 12-year drought, Real Madrid looking to add to their 2023 triumph, and Sociedad chasing a second title in four years, the semi-finals promise to deliver high-intensity football.
