Super Bowl LIX was a night of disappointment for Travis Kelce—not only did his Kansas City Chiefs lose to the Philadelphia Eagles, but his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was booed when she appeared on the jumbotron.

A source told DailyMail.com that Kelce felt "helpless" witnessing the moment, adding: "He always protects her, and it broke his heart. Seeing the look on her face got to him."
Many Eagles fans viewed Swift as a "traitor", given her Pennsylvania roots and past support for the team before dating Kelce.

Adding to the controversy, Donald Trump took a public dig at Swift, claiming she had a "tougher night than the Chiefs."
Kelce reportedly found Trump's comment "unnecessary," especially after previously calling it an "honour" for the former president to attend.
In the aftermath, Serena Williams publicly defended Swift, writing on social media: "I love you @taylorswift13, don’t listen to those boos!!"

Despite the Super Bowl loss and Swift's Grammy shutout, sources say Kelce remains focused on their relationship, stating, "Having her love gives him so much joy."
