Jey Uso officially declared his WrestleMania 41 challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, setting up a high-stakes rematch with Gunther.
Uso, who outlasted 29 other competitors to win the Royal Rumble, opened the show by celebrating with the fans.
However, his moment was cut short when Gunther blindsided him, leading to an intense brawl. Security intervened as the two continued to clash, but Uso made his intentions clear.
Pulling himself up on the ropes, he grabbed the microphone and told Gunther, "I’ll see you at WrestleMania."
The rivalry between Uso and Gunther has been brewing since Saturday Night’s Main Event in January, where the champion retained his title after delivering consecutive powerbombs to Uso.
Their WrestleMania encounter will be a chance for Uso to redeem himself on the biggest stage in WWE.
WrestleMania 41 is now set to feature a marquee matchup, as Uso seeks to dethrone The Ring General and capture the World Heavyweight Championship.
