A new weather system bringing clouds has entered Punjab, with the possibility of light rain in several districts, including Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and the Pothohar Division.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), while clouds will continue to cover the region, rain chances remain low for most areas, including Lahore, Express News reported.

However, the current system is expected to move out of Pakistan by tonight, reducing the chances of further precipitation.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, with a maximum expected to reach 24 degrees Celsius. The city has experienced a relatively dry and cold spell due to a lack of rainfall, and this trend is expected to continue, as experts predict a shorter duration of cold weather this year.

The meteorological department has advised residents to prepare for a cooler day, although the chances of heavy rain are minimal.

Yesterday, Lahore and several districts across Punjab experienced a shift in weather, as cold and cloudy conditions take over.

The Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy skies for Lahore and many other regions in Punjab over the next two days.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature has dropped to 8°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 24°C.

According to the weather forecast, the cloudy weather will persist throughout the day, with some districts, including Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Pothohar Division, likely to experience light rain.

However, the chances of heavy rainfall in Lahore and other districts remain low, with the weather primarily expected to be overcast. The Met Department has confirmed that the cloudy weather will continue through today and tomorrow, offering a brief respite from the usual winter chill.
