Additional Sessions Judge Peshawar Attaullah Jan has ordered the seizure of the salary of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar for violating the court order in an illegal detention case.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till February 13.
According to the prosecution, the female petitioner had filed an application against the illegal detention of his son by Faqirabad police station, requesting his safe recovery.
On the court order, the bailiff raided the Bashirabad outpost located within the limits of the Faqirabad police station and rescued the petitioner's son Zarif who had been kept there by the police secretly.
According to the rescued person, he was arrested and kept in illegal detention for eight days and no case was registered against him nor was he produced in the court.
The court ordered the CCPO Peshawar to hand over the inquiry to a senior officer and submit its findings to the court. However, the court ordered the confiscation of the salary of the Peshawar CCPO for non-compliance with the court orders and adjourned the hearing of the case until February 13.
