Security forces killed three militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday. The operation, conducted on the night of February 6-7, followed intelligence reports indicating the presence of militants in the region.
The military's media wing stated that during the operation, troops successfully targeted the militants’ location, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists. The militants were reportedly attempting to flee while disguised in burqas.
The deceased terrorists were found in possession of weapons and ammunition. According to the ISPR, they were involved in multiple terrorist activities within the region. Following the operation, a sanitisation mission is currently underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan's security forces are unwavering in their commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of the country. This operation highlights the continued efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces to combat terrorism and protect the region.
