Snoop Dogg didn’t hold back during the NFL Honors on February 6, taking a playful swipe at Bill Belichick, 72, and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

The couple, who first made headlines last year after appearing together at a gala for the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, have drawn attention due to their significant 48-year age gap. According to PEOPLE, Belichick and Hudson met in 2021 on a flight from the Boston area to Florida and reportedly began dating in early 2023.

Snoop, known for his quick wit, worked the couple into his opening monologue, first reminiscing about past NFL eras before delivering the punchline. "I've been a football fan for a long, long time. I remember back when the Cowboys was good, I remember back when the Chiefs was bad. And I remember [when] Bill Belichick's girlfriend wasn't even born yet."

The audience erupted in laughter as the camera captured Hudson’s surprised reaction, her jaw nearly dropping before she laughed off the joke. Belichick also appeared to take it in stride, smiling at the lighthearted dig.

Fans quickly reacted online, praising Snoop’s comedic timing. "Appropriate roast," one person wrote, while another added, "I love Bill Belichick, but that's hilarious! Wtg Snoop!" Others called it "classic Snoop."

However, the joke wasn’t the only thing fueling conversations about Snoop Dogg. Some fans were quick to bring up the rapper’s recent appearance at Trump’s Crypto Ball, questioning his decision to perform at an event hosted by the former president despite his past criticisms of him.

The backlash prompted Snoop to address the controversy in an Instagram video, where he dismissed the criticism. "For all the hate I’m going to answer with love, I love too much. Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I’m cool. I’m together. Still a Black man. Still 100 percent Black. All out ’til you ball out or ’til you fall out." He added, "You can be up one minute and they’ll try to pull you down the next."
