Joe Biden signs with CAA for post-presidency career in publishing and public speaking

Ex-President Joe Biden has signed with CAA for publishing and speaking gigs, making a Hollywood comeback.

Just weeks after leaving office, former President Joe Biden has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to manage his post-presidency career.

The renowned talent firm, which represents Hollywood A-listers such as Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, will oversee Biden’s ventures in publishing and public speaking.

Biden, 82, previously worked with CAA from 2017 to 2020 after serving as vice president. During that time, he released his memoir Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose and launched a nationwide speaking tour that sold over 85,000 tickets.

“President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” said Richard Lovett, CAA’s co-chairman. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility.”

Biden’s return to Hollywood follows his departure from the White House with low approval ratings and controversy over pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, who faced legal troubles related to firearm possession and tax charges.

The entertainment industry, largely Democratic, has expressed disappointment over Biden’s handling of the 2024 election, where Donald Trump defeated former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Following in the footsteps of Barack and Michelle Obama, who founded Higher Ground Productions, Biden’s post-presidency career could prove lucrative. After his last partnership with CAA, his income surged from under $400,000 annually to over $15 million in two years.

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden is also considering media opportunities, including a potential documentary, podcasting, and public speaking engagements.
