Mufti Abdul Qavi has once again generated controversy with his latest remarks during a podcast with Muneezay Moeen, where he expressed his intentions to marry Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant.

Known for his provocative statements, Mufti Qavi referenced Sawant's recent Umrah pilgrimage, praising her spiritual journey and calling her a "respectable woman."

The conversation took another unexpected turn when Mufti Qavi addressed Rakhi Sawant’s public interest in marrying a Pakistani scholar. He offered a conditional response, saying, “I am here and ready, but with one condition: I will ask my mother for permission first. If she permits me, then, because it is her command, you need to ask me before getting married."

Additionally, Mufti Qavi shared a personal anecdote about his past marriage, which involved a woman from a prominent family with historical ties to figures such as Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Quaid-e-Azam, Gandhi Ji, and Nehru. He recalled the tragic end of the marriage due to her untimely death, expressing that he still honors her memory by praying at her grave.

This unexpected declaration has sparked a significant reaction on social media, with many questioning the tone and intent behind his remarks. As of now, Rakhi Sawant has not publicly responded, leaving the situation open for continued speculation.

In related news, Pakistani actor Dodi Khan also made headlines recently when he proposed to Rakhi Sawant. However, in a new Instagram video, Khan sought to clarify his position, assuring his followers that he had not retracted his decision nor "run away."

He emphasised that his earlier proposal to Sawant was genuine and that he intended to marry her, despite receiving widespread criticism.

Khan addressed critics, explaining that his feelings for Sawant were based on her resilience and strong character, noting her difficult past and her conversion to Islam, which included adopting the name Fatima and performing Umrah. He explained that his proposal stemmed from his admiration for her.

Apologizing to Sawant, Khan stated, "I am sorry, Rakhi ji. You are a very good friend and will remain so. Though you may not be my bride, I promise you will become the daughter-in-law of Pakistan. I will arrange a marriage for you with one of my friends or brothers."
