Ruthless muggers continue to strike with impunity, looting people and killing them on slight resistance. In the latest incident, a man was killed by brutal bandits in the Korangi industrial area, Mehran Town.

The victim was a shopkeeper who was shot in the chest. After the latest fatal shooting, the number of people killed in the year 2025 has reached to six.

The deadly shooting triggered anger among the residents of the area. Edhi volunteers took the body of the deceased to JPMC for post-mortem, where the deceased was identified as 55-year-old Ameer Khan.

Body of missing trader found on beach

The body of a shopkeeper who went missing from Landhi on January 29 was found near a famous eatery in the Do Darya area of the Seaview Beach on Sunday morning.

Police reached the spot and shifted the remains of 50-year-old Asif Kamal, son of Abdul Wahab to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities.

A father of three children, Asif Kamal owned a mobile accessories shop in Saddar Mobile Market. Asif's brother Tariq Kamal told The Express Tribune outside JPMC that his brother had left for his shop on his motorcycle at 10am on January 29 but did not reach the shop. His nephew Shehryar, who works in the same market, said that his uncle's last location was Ibrahim Hyderi and he did not understand why his uncle went there.
