In an Instagram Story on Thursday, Asim Azhar took a trip down memory lane, reflecting on his musical beginnings. He recalled visiting the Canadian side of Niagara Falls for the first time after his show in Toronto - a moment that brought back a memory from the early 2010s. Back then, visa issues had kept him and his mother on the US side of the falls. The experience became even more special as his family wandered through the city, reliving a journey once limited by circumstance.

"Somewhere afar, I heard live music playing so I ran to that spot. I stumbled upon a bar and insisted on being let in, only because I wanted to sing," Asim wrote, adding that he was about fourteen at the time, which made his requests seem childish to the bar staff. But he wasn't ready to give up just yet.

"You know what I did? I started singing outside the bar in front of the manager to let them know that I can sing a bit, for real," he revealed.

As bold as that was, it worked. The manager, amused by his confidence, smiled and let young Asim inside - just for a short while - to perform in front of a small audience of six or seven. "I remember I sang Grenade by Bruno Mars and earned a little bit of applause."

The moment only fuelled Asim's enthusiasm, who declared to his cousin that one day he'll be famous and the two will go on grand tours together. At the time, the onlookers chuckled. Though their reaction stung, Asim would eventually have the last laugh.

Fourteen years later, he found himself back in the same place. "And guess what? My cousin is now part of my touring team. We've travelled and performed in five countries in just two months, and three of my shows sold out in the very country I couldn't enter back then. This was my full-circle moment," he proudly wrote.
