Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce will not be attending the 2025 Grammy Awards with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, due to his team's rigorous Super Bowl LIX preparations.
The Grammys, scheduled for Sunday, February 2, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, coincide with the Chiefs’ final practices leading up to their championship matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Despite Kelce’s absence from the prestigious music event, Swift—who has earned five Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department—will be in attendance. The 35-year-old pop icon made history last year by securing her fourth win in the top category for Midnights.
Kelce, also 35, has missed the Grammys before due to football commitments but has always expressed admiration for Swift’s accomplishments. During a pre-game press conference last year, he praised Swift, calling her "unbelievable" and celebrating her influence on music history.
Though the couple won’t share the Grammys’ red carpet, Swift is expected to be in New Orleans to cheer on Kelce and the Chiefs as they battle for back-to-back Super Bowl victories. The tight end played a crucial role in securing last year’s win against the San Francisco 49ers, where Swift and her family supported him from the stands before celebrating together on the field.
