Mona Lisa Bhonsale, the 16-year-old girl who became a viral sensation at the Kumbh Mela festival in Prayagraj city of India's Uttar Pradesh state, has signed her first Bollywood film deal, according to Indian media.

Bhonsale, who gained fame for her captivating eyes, warm brown skin, and unique style of speaking, drew attention at the Maha Kumbh Mela, where she was seen selling garlands on the ghats in a video that went viral.

Her rise to popularity sparked widespread curiosity, making her a household name in India.

Recently, Bollywood director Sunoj Mishra visited Bhonsale's village in Madhya Pradesh to meet her and her family, where discussions about her debut film took place.

The film, titled 'The Diary of Manipur', is expected to begin shooting in February 2025.

Mishra described Bhonsale and her family as "simple and innocent," noting that as she is still very young, preparations will be made to groom her for the role.

The signing of this film marks a significant shift in Bhonsale's life, from a viral sensation at the Kumbh Mela to an up-and-coming Bollywood star.

As for the movie, 'The Diary of Manipur' will reportedly highlight the life and culture of the northeastern state of Manipur. Bhonsale's involvement marks her entry into an industry.
