Bollywood's renowned actress Esha Deol has revealed the reasons behind her career setbacks, admitting that she turned down several projects that could have taken her career to new heights.
In a recent interview, Esha confessed that she had rejected roles in the movie Omkara, where Bipasha Basu was cast, and Rohit Shetty’s successful film Golmaal, both of which could have been turning points in her career.
Esha Deol, daughter of Bollywood legends Dharmendra and Hema Malini, made her film debut in 2002 with Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe.
However, she was never able to achieve the blockbuster success that was expected of her, given her illustrious parentage.
In the interview, Esha said, "I turned down many good projects, and if I had taken them up, my career would have been different." She further revealed that the list of projects she rejected is quite long, and if she had worked in those films, her career's success would have been different.
Esha humorously added that if she were to share the list, people would throw slippers at her.
Esha Deol married businessman Bharat Takhtani in 2012, and they have two children. Recently, she appeared in the web series Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega. Meanwhile, her brother Sunny Deol's film Gadar 2 has achieved tremendous success at the box office.
