Bollywood actress Khushi Kapoor has addressed her cosmetic enhancements, admitting to getting a nose job and lip fillers. In a recent interview with Indian YouTuber Kamiya Jani on her channel Curly Tales, Khushi was asked about her openness regarding these procedures.
She said she doesn’t think it’s a “big deal” and feels comfortable discussing it.
“I don’t think it’s such a big deal,” Khushi Kapoor said, explaining that people often fear backlash when admitting to cosmetic enhancements. “But there’s going to be hate either way,” she added.
Khushi Kapoor also challenged the notion that being called "plastic" is the worst insult, stating that she doesn’t view it negatively. “People think the term ‘plastic’ is the biggest insult, but I don’t think it’s bad if someone gets work done,” she explained.
Khushi further stressed that the real issue arises when individuals enhance their appearance and claim to be “completely natural,” which sets unrealistic beauty standards for young people. “It’s unfair to younger boys and girls who look up to you, and then they think, ‘Oh, I don’t look like that; why can’t I?’” she said.
The young actor also pointed out the extensive efforts involved in maintaining one’s appearance. “There’s so much effort put into looking a certain way—facials, skincare—not everyone knows that,” she noted.
Khushi Kapoor’s stance on cosmetic surgery has drawn comparisons to her cousin Sonam Kapoor's views, which sparked controversy on social media after an episode of Koffee with Karan.
In August 2024, the actress admitted to having lip fillers and a nose job, responding to an Instagram comment that questioned her appearance.
On the work front, Khushi Kapoor is set to make her big-screen debut in Loveyapa, co-starring Junaid Khan. The film is slated for release on February 7, 2025. She also has another project in the works with Dharma Productions, Naadaniyaan, where she stars alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan.
